Sometimes it’s helpful to have a bit more space between the press drift and the T-bar handles, to give more clearance from obstacles that might otherwise make tightening the press awkward. This might be the case when pressing frame pivots near to the bottom bracket shell, or a curved chainstay. Other timesit’s necessary to press a bearing deep into a part like a freehub.
Our ‘press extensions’ come as a pair of tubes 20mm long. They can be used in any combination with any of our presses, including our frame presses, bottom bracket presses and headset cup presses. They can even be used with our optional thrust bearings!
Note that a pair of these extension tubes are included with all of our T-bar frame and bottom bracket presses.
